Valentine’s Day – is it a blessing or a curse for a single?

2010-02-09 19:58:40

14th February – the day which all those selling romantic cards, flowers, chocolate boxes, perfumes, romantic and sexy gadgets have been waiting for…, also owners of restaurants and hotels, they would  expect better revenue coming in that day…
Are they the only one who will gain some benefits from that day, from the day when women and men buy more just to show their romantic sides? Can any single gain something from Valentine’s Day?

Or to ask different question : is it a curse or a blessing for someone who is a single?

Personally I see potential in this day. We can for example – pretending that we really don’t care, just we are joining the common insanity , take some actions and not to spend this day alone ( by the way a bit of stress in that case is really welcomed) and we can:

• send a text message
• write and send romantic card
• simply call or call trough skype to the person we have been trying to meet for a months
• ask him/her to the cinema , theatre, bowling or for personally made spaghetti

If you bare in mind that Valentine’s Day is coming soon and you are single and lonely you have to take some ACTION now! Even if the source of it is really only a  desperation  (because you really don’t want to eat full bags of crisps in front of TV on your own , watching the same old, romantic movie and feeling like you might actually howl to  moon over your situation…).It doesn’t matter what is your motive, do something which will give you a chance to meet someone interesting, will give you a chance for a change…

Think over the subject and once you come up with some ideas just do it!

Club for the lonely hearts? Salsa classes for singles? Blind date? Your friend’s cousin just arrived from Singapore and would like to sightsee London with someone nice? The opportunity sometimes just knocks at your door…

Good luck!
